Rear Schmear is made by a real mom who grew up learning the value of making things from scratch. Her formula is simple and consists merely of lanolin, olive oil and bee's wax. She found that these three ingredients were effective at soothing chapped skin and as a moisture barrier between diaper and baby's bottom. It doesn’t contain zinc oxide as many diaper creams do, which means that it may not be as effective at treating an existing diaper rash--but it is certainly effective at preventing them in the first place!
